Membership at Oakwood includes all women in the Oakwood Ladies Association, which is an active and integral
part of our club. Ladies Day is Thursday. All who are interested in golf meet around 8:30 for refreshments and
then golf starts at 9:00. Some play nine holes, others play eighteen. Lunch is served each Thursday at 1:00
followed by cards or mahjong for anyone interested.
Ladies golf includes a weekly "play of the day" as well as tournaments throughout the season. As weather
permits, the ladies play every Thursday from May through October. A day-long event in September called the
Stagette is a popular Oakwood tradition. The season concludes with a very nice Christmas luncheon in December,
usually held at Brookside Country Club.
